My name is Knud Sindt and I am from Hamburg. I first started as luthier in 1985 making classic guitars with the help of the great M.Wichmann. One year later I went to Gubio, Italy, where I carried on learning to make guitars and violins from Guerriero Spataffi. Some time after that I moved to Cremona and spent two years studying in depth the making of the Renainassance lute under the care of Walter Leoni, and also spent three years more learning from Tizziano Rizzi.

In 1991, I was given my qualification Diploma de la Cívica Scuola de Liuteria in Milan. In 1994, I decided to move to Spain. I currently own my workshop in Granada where I make instruments for everyone. I hope you enjoy my modest website.
